KING SIZE-II

" Amazing.... Never thought It would be so good.... Trust me...Its not any other Marvel-Comic-ish movie like spiderman and others....Its so realistic that I wouldnt mind watching it for another 10 times over and over...Wanna come??? " a friend of mine couldnt resist calling me up and give an instant review about the movie the moment he stepped out of the theatre.. A smile and a nodd...This was all I could give at the other end of the phone...

Having watched the trailor of the movie KING KONG on the TV..I kind of couldnt agree with the word 'Realistic' he gave... It just reminded me of any other hollywood movie which enlarges the size of a real creature and feature it in the movie..

The first one of that kind I saw was ANACONDA... Though the size of the anaconda was normal..but because I was a small girl..I saw it as an enlarged snake.. The movie was about a group of people who go to a forest hunting for an anaconda..Least did they know that they were the ones being hunted...Though the movie was not scary or anything.. the scene where the snake swallows a man completly and then spits him out was kind of scary and funny at the same time..
There are other movies like EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS where the spiders were made 1000 times bigger... and human beings looked like insects instead...One with an enlarged crocodile was LAKE PLACID...There was one more in which all the small creatures available on planet were made bigger than human beings.. couldnt watch it with all those cockroaches in it...eeeww.. they are just so irritating...

Then there are movies in which these animals are shown as the hero of the movie rather than the beast which is ready to pounce on people. KING KONG is one such movie... Another was MIGHTY JOE YOUNG which was similar to KING KONG....

Its interesting to see these animals as hero (or villian ) and do stunts too.. gives you a break from those typical hindi movies where people are given fixed roles ( a hero always remains a hero and so does a villian ).. But if you notice one thing.. these animals are more intelligent than you can think of... they stalk people better than our hindi movie villians, they know how to turn the knob and open the door decently.. and last but not the least they can play hide and seek...

Even after these movies are so unrealistic and exagerated.. I should agree with the fact that the graphics are mind blowing and watching them in a theatre does send a chill down through your spine and makes you grasp your seat with fear...It will indeed be worth the money you spend on it.
